Overview

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is an international association of women employed in all areas of the construction industry from skilled trades to business ownership. NAWIC was started in 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas by a group of women employed in the construction industry. Since this time, NAWIC has grown to a membership of more than 4,500 with hundreds of chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

Community Outreach

The National Association of Women in Construction Orange County sponsors a room at the Women's Transitional Living Center Inc., (WTLC), a non-profit, community based organization of women and men committed to seeking solutions to end domestic violence and human trafficking. Services are available to all regardless of race, gender, religion, age or national origin.
